Darcy Presiloski was born in Vermilion, Alberta, Canada and lived on a farm in southern Alberta during her early childhood. She now resides in Calgary and enjoys depicting the people, animals and situations typically found at Alberta rodeos and ranches. She completed a Bachelor of Education degree in 1982 and then raised a family. Although she has always sketched and painted, only recently with her three sons grown (almost) has she been able to devote more time to artistic pursuits.

In 2009 Darcy has again been selected to participate in the Western Showcase and Auction at the upcoming Calgary Stampede.
Darcy works in several mediums: oil, watercolour, pastels and graphite. She is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the Canadian Institute of Portrait Artists and the Equine Art Guild.
Her work is in private collections in Canada, the United States and New Zealand.
